The rest of Me-Made-March....

...was uneventful. I sketched the outfits worn on my trip to NYC but had no time to take photos. The rest of the month, I wore mostly accessories to fill my Me-made challenge. I also converted the super hero dress to a tank top for the weekends, because I decided it's probably crazier than I'd ever wear anyway. I also decided the weather was not my friend, and in general, did not want to wear skirts and dresses. Oh well! I did do better that self-stitched-September, and I did wear handmade everyday. I also learned that I need more tops and probably some pants in my self-made wardrobe. Next time I'll know :)

I just finished up my first design project of this semester, and it feels sooooo good to have it checked off the to-do list. Now just 2 more to go ;) ...and some sewing. Thought I'd post it here for your entertainment. The inspiration is 1960's album cover art. Enjoy!

Day 6

Somehow this dress seems a little too dressy for many of my day-to-day activities. Today, though, we were celebrating my grandma's 80th and my grandpa's 82nd birthdays. Perfect reason to put on the Sunday best!

Handmade Inventory....No photos

So my internet has been down since before the weekend, and I'm hoping it is getting fixed tonight. That way I can keep up with this Me-Made March posting :) First, I took inventory of the actual handmade clothes I have in my closet last night. There are 3 tops, 3 bottoms, 7 dresses, and 1 Topper. You'll see the photos as we go along, but I was actually pretty surprised how many things I have made over the last couple of months that haven't even debuted yet. Time to change that. A fair amount of things are also spring/summer type items, so I'll have to get creative with the layering. My biggest challenge is going to be my trip to New York in 2 weeks, where I need to dress a little more professionally. I'm allowing myself accessories so I can deal with that. Here's to a successful challenge! I'll be back tonight with photos of Day 1!
